Her time in Latvia
Kristina was Born in Riga, Latvia on the 22nd of September 1981. As a child prodigy, she was accepted to the Em. Darzins Music School in Riga at the age of 6. During her time there she performed countless recitals and toured the former Soviet Union. At the age of 11 she attended the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and was invited to the United Kingdom by Dr. Felix Andrievsky. Her family accepted the offer and they moved in September 1993.

Her time In The UK
Kristina joined the Purcell School of Music immediately upon arriving in London, whilest also attending the Royal College of Music for private violin lessons with Dr. Andrievsky. Her first full length recital followed in June 1994. At the age of 13, Kristina was awarded the DENON scholarship to the Purcell School. By the age 20, Kristina had performed at the Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, Cliveden, Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, St. Martins in the Fields to name just a few. Kristina had also performed on several occasions for H.M. The Queen and H.R.H. The Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and St. James Palace.

Kristina graduated from Purcell in 2000 and was awarded a Foundation Scholarship to the Royal College of Music, which she graduated with a BMus(Hons) in 2005.

Kristina also won many awards, including the Montgomery Award (RCM), Manilow Award (RCM), Manoug Parikian Award, The Martin Musical Scholarship Trust and the Polly Gross Award.

Kristina took a gap year from the RCM to spend a little time gaining experience in the field of orchestral playing. Subsequently, Kristina has performed as a guest section principal or section member with the BBC Scotish Symphony Orchestra (BBC Proms), BBC Concert Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, and the Royal Northern Ballet.

Her Time in the U.S.A.
Kristina chose the small but wonderful Belmont University School of Music in Nashville, Tennessee as her school for a Masters in Music in both Pedagogy and Perfomance. She accomplished this in record time with honors, publishing an acclaimed thesis on Paganini and focusing most of her time on the study and application of his 24 Caprices. Her mentors at BU where Ms Elisabeth Small, Dr Robert Gregg and Dr Richard Shadinger.

Kristina served as the concertmistress of the Belmont University Symphony Orchestra, Bowling Green Symphony. Kristina also performed with the Murfreesboro Symphony and the Nashville Symphony Orchestra during her time at Belmont.

Kristinas most recent engagements are with the Nashville String Machine, which she joined in December of 2007.
